UK Champion Gymnast Pays Visit to Clean Energy Farm Pioneered by Opus Energy
(PRWEB UK) 28 November 2011
Opus Energy Ltd and Keatings visited Beech Tree Farm in Sproxton to see how the owner, Craig Birch, is using renewable energy from a wind turbine to provide energy for his business.
Daniel Keatings last year brought home Gold and Silver medals from the European Championships and is regarded as one of the UK’s top gymnasts.
Daniel braved the cold on a misty November morning to perform his routine in the shadow of the huge wind turbine. He also took time out of his busy schedule to meet and talk with local schoolchildren; Hannah, Edward, Dominic and Joseph Birch.
Opus Energy Ltd helped complete the connection and installation process of Craig Birch’s turbine. It has allowed the farmer to generate energy for his green waste composting business. The company helps to deposit large amounts of carbon in the soil and reduces the use of chemical fertilisers.
Mr Birch said: “It’s not every day that you have a world-famous athlete perform routines on a pommel horse on your farm! It was great for us and the children to see Daniel perform his routine and get the chance to ask him questions. We also really liked taking part in the photo shoot and meeting the team from Opus Energy who have helped us power the farm from renewable supplies.”
Andy Nash, Director – Operations at Opus Energy said: “We enjoyed meeting Craig and seeing the new wind turbine in action. It was exciting to see the farm and its composting business being powered by the turbine. This has helped Craig with his commitment to use renewable energy. It was also great fun to watch Dan perform a routine during the photo shoot – we were all very impressed.”

Great post! I?m just starting out in community management/marketing media and trying to learn how to do it well – resources like this article are incredibly helpful. As our company is based in the US, it?s all a bit new to us. The example above is something that I worry about as well, how to show your own genuine enthusiasm and share the fact that your product is useful in that case
